How many T5 reflecors in 18" width...?

I was hoping to fit 8 T5's over a 36x18 tank im building, but the Tek II are 3" wide and the IC's are around the same right? What other high end reflectors are out their? As many as possible is the goal....

but the standoffs for and endcaps are 2.5" wide

without trimming the standoffs or finding different ones a max of 7 can fit in a 18" area. ( 17.5" butted together)

aquatinics reflectors are very good reflectors, better than Tek I believe. You can trim off some of the excess plastic off the standoff to make 8 fit I'm sure. Ice cap reflectors are also 2.5" wide not 3" and drop to 2.25-2.35" when overlaping them. ( The IC reflectors edges can be overlapped saving some room)

Aquatinics makes 2" standoffs, but you may need to contact them directly to get them. Trimming other standoffs is easy too. Either way, you can do 8 over the tank.

Grimm Reefer posted a list a while back and the Aquatinics reflectors were in the top 3

I recall reading that the aquactinics reflectors are good too. I have a Solar Flare and am quite happy with it. I "thought" it has IceCap reflectors in it though...

I have talked with Tom at aquactinics regarding my light. He is a super nice guy and will probably be willing to give you his .02 Cents.
