How many T5? SPS Dominated

I'm thinking to run 6 t5 54watts for SPS dominated whith 23w and 16h main tank.

3 ATI blue plus
2 ATI Blue special
1 kz Fiji Purple

It sounds good or not enough?
8 bulbs it's more indicated?

that was is the combo i'm currently running, i am about to change the to new bulbs -- all the same save 1, i'm going to try the ATI Purple+ instead of the KZ FP.
I have no problems growing anything anywhere and my tank is 25" tall.

6 bulbs will be pleanty to keep anything in that tank. The bubl combo also looks good you will get good colors and growth.

+1...that will look nice! You may even want to swap a AB Spec with a KZ New Generation. I did on my tank and couldn't be happier. It will tie in the other bulbs very nicely and give good PAR.

I have a 6x54 ati power module over my 4' x 2' x 1' with that exact bulb combo.
Great colour.

The fixture has plenty of output and if I raise it to ~6" off the water surface
(identical to your 16"h tank), I get 100% coverage of the entire tank base.

I can take acro frags out of my other tank that live directly under a cheap chinese 250w metal halide, and they bleach in a day when placed under the ati t5's.

I say go for it!

I would go with this instead. The ATI blue special makes my tank look a little on the yellow side. The KZ bulb is a bit bluer.
