How many times do i need to learn the hard way before i listen to good advice?

Did a water change. Didn't pay attention to my skimmer. It went crazy and started overflowing. Then when I tried to stop it I ended up spilling water on my led power supply.

Lights off.
Idiot.

I suppose I'll move my electrical tangle mess now.

Here's to some good luck. One of the best things I ever did was make myself a wall hanging "cabinet" to mount most of my electrical gadgets in and spend $10 bucks on one of those boxes with cable organizer twists and wraps.

I was literally just looking at a cabinet in my basement wondering if it would fit next to my tank.

If you can screw or zip tie the electrical components to the ceiling of your sump space. Keeps wires out of the way, moves them to a convenient spot where they won't get damaged. Just make sure they are secure.

here is the one I threw together a couple years ago. It naturally has a couple more controllers in it now LOL. I got one of those entertainment center cable organizers at ace hardware for about $10. I got a window shade that allows the heat from the electronics to dissipate and I can look through the shade slats at the various pieces of equipment.
