I have a 120g set up..After hearing so much great things about these monsters I break down and decide to get a pair and get raid of my powerheads..

what is a good size for my tank(4x2) and how many...

please don't break the bank.........

The ideal would be two 6000's and the 7095 Multicontroller and you can piece the set together over time, the pumps do work without the controller and one should be sufficient short term.

Roger,

No point in starting a new thread. Have a 120g SPS that will be barebottom and the only other flow will be a return pushing about 1000g hr with an eductor attached.

Can't decide between the two (price doesn't matter):

Stream Kit TS07 (6010) 1850g flow

Stream Kit TS12 (6100) 3175g flow

The 6100 is really too much for a 4ft tank. Frankly I would get a 6000 and a multicontroller so you have an option to add a second.

I just put a pair of the 6060 on my 120 (one in each corner) and am pretty happy with it. After see this if I ever did go to the controllable ones I would go with the 6100s just to get that high powered flow from time to time. Maybe if I mounted them differently, like on the sides with magnets the extra flow may not be needed or wanted. Donââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t get me wrong I am extremely happy with the 6060s and donââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t regret the purchase, but if money wouldnââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t have been an option the 6100s would have been the way I would have gone.
