How many tunzes for a 90 gallon

I was thinking about switching from my 1 vortec and 1 korallia4 to all tunze streams. I dont like the vortec that much because it is too loud for my liking. I would like to have all the same pumps in the tank but im not sure how many tunzes and which model.

Go with some older 6100's or the new 6101's if you want new ones. They area bit big but I love the flow they put out in my 90g. You can always use them in an upgrade or tune them as your needs grow.

I have one on full blast and the other around half or so. I have two koralia 3's hidden behind the rock. I have a BB tank so I dont let stuff settle.

I like the Tunze Turbelle® Stream 2 Pump 6125 better. I like the look of them, the magnet that it comes with, and the way that you are able to better position them better. Is there a tunze that looks like this that will be good for my size tank? I would put 2 or 3 of them in if that is enough

I remember reading there is something you can do to the vortech to quiet it down. Is there a filter on it or some other adjustment?

I have a Stream and a nano stream in my 90. I think two streams would be too much flow. You have to give them space or the flow "burns" the SPS.

The current model that would be most equivalent in flow to a Vortech is the 6105. Judge by that how much flow you want. People have complained that the 6105 is noisy when they first install them. It goes away after it is broken in after a couple of weeks. Tunze is making a design change to make them quiet out of the box.

No, you would need to get a single controller, the 7095 Multi controller(~$270) or the 7096 Multi controller(~$175).

You can adjust the flow by using the jumper, 15v=~1750 GPH, and the 20v jumper=3450 gph. There is also an adjustable dial to lower/raise the flow. Total controllable range of the pump is 792-3450 GPH.

To ramp the pump up and down, in sync or against another controllable Tunze, you would need the controller. The 7096 is actually coming out within a few weeks at about $165- but it must be programmed using a computer.

I have (2) 6105 in my 90. They are great pumps. Yes they did make some noise when I first got them but it was gone with in a few weeks. The new design is great. You can move them in all directions like the tunze nanos.
