I don't know if mine is normal or not but mine doesn't look red to me and it looks more orange. I heard that there was one that was a true a fire and ice but I can't find a pic any where......

countless variations, and add environment andlighting to that and you can multiply the countless by countless again

These are the true Fire & Ice

I know the guy the originally named them.

Fire & Ice have true red skirts w/ blue, black & whitish centers. All the others are typical "variations".

Give me two weeks with those "TRUE" red skirted fire and ices anywehre near the top of my sps tank and you will have orange

I do like the red skirted ones and have some myself...and keep them low to preserve it. That pic posted is so oversaturated with color though it isnt an accurate representation of what they really look like as nice as they may be for real

its funny how many people post shopped pics and say this is how the true X coral looks... or even just how many people post shopped phots...

edit: or even just to say this is how the true X zoanthid looks is a little rediculous because of how much they can vary..

Anybody want to buy some BamBams??

I have two kinds.......these first ones are $3 a polyp, pic taken under straight 10 k halide lighting........

The second ones....THESE are special super uber rare super BamBams.......these are $30 a polyp. Pic taken under straight 10k lighitng

ps- the first ones arent for sale...i was just showing you how boring the regular ones are in comparison

I think the ones on bottom are not true bam bams, true bam bams have a more orangish orange, with orange highlights.

The ones on top are just throw aways, not worth the tank space.

You actually know the guy that decided to give regular ol' orange skirt zoas that name? How creative of him.

I guess I should thank him though, I have a couple thousand.

BTW, I don't see any red in that picture. I guess bright orange = red now? And since when was fire red .... that has always confused me..?

Anyways. These are so yesterday. Booooring. If you have a picture of a zoa with more than 5 polyps in the colony, its not worth discussing.
