How many watts per gallon fo you have?

All of these diverse responses (3.75 to 15.8) help to show that watts per gallon is a poor "rule of thumb" for lighting. :)

I think this thread is going to end up showing how pointless WPG comparsions are. Not PAR, spectrum, photo period or anything that matters.

yea WPG is pointless but what the hell....175w mh-10k, 2x75vho actinic=325w. thats 11.21wpg. and 2x175w mh and 4x65w pc actinic=610w thats 11.01wpg.

3x250w DE (1x20K XM and 2x14K Phoenix) in PFO pendants
4x75w VHO actinics
1050 watts over a 120 gal cube (36x33x24)

Ok, piont well taken. :p

As many have stated before, dont get hung up on the whole WPG thing, its more about intensity and spread.

I run 2x250W XM10K in Lumenarc III"s with 420W VHO over my 225gl.
That puts me at 4 WPG.
But Im sure I could have the same growth with out my VHO's so you could say I can have a WPG of 2.2.

3 - 250W MH, 3-65WPC over my 72" X 19" X 19" tank - 110 gallons so FWIW that is 945W and 8.59WPG

I didn't include the moonlight.:D
