Many years ago we had a tank that had 3 weirs , which of course fell into the first chamber of the sump. most tanks i see now in GB have one weir in the corner,i was wondering about any advantages in having 3?
Also our weirs were a tube riseing up from the bottom of the tank with a taller tube fitting over the top with slats in the base so the water was drawn from the bottom of the tank up and over into the shorter tube. Our tank would be 6 foot x 2 foot x 28 inches front to back.
i cannot remember any build up of debris in this tank , so im assumeing this method may well do away with the reef clean flush system i see in so many UK tanks.
I would be very interested for the forums opinions and views on this idea?
