How much are BTAs at your lfs?

Normally I go to an lfs that is pretty close to me, but isnt too consistant with their prices. They usually have small-medium sized common brown BTAs anywhere from $39-50. But recently I tried a new lfs, with a very wide selection of over 300 different corals, frag tanks, and all that stuff. I saw in one of their tanks that they had a small (around 3-4") very nice green BTA for $29.99. Would this have been a steal? Or is this around the regular price for a BTA in your area, and Im just used to over priced anemones.

It actually almost looked exactly like this, just smaller

I would have too. Ive planned on getting an anemone but I was looking for something else, and since I have coral I was afraid that it would sting them, and eventually kill them. But Im sure if I change my mind about getting an anemone I will definatly go back to that lfs.

In southern ILL they are usually around 30.00 to 50.00 but once in a blue moon you see one for 19.99

sounds same as yours, but ours come in bleached. RBTA is usually around 90 dollars for a small 3". GBTA is about 30-40 depending on size and sometimes color

.....RBTA run for around 70-90$ here....although i see the ones that arent as colorful IE green's condi's etc for 30-50$ range

When the lfs that I usually go to got a RBTA they had it for 149.99, and it wasnt that big, just the size of all the others.

:(...my LFS gets 1-2" RBTA all the time...90 bucks...they sit and rot in the very poorly lit tanks...it is very sad really...GBTA's usually about 59.00 they also sit and rot...makes me cry when i see it, especially wheni can buy Aquacultered clones on local forums for about 25-50 bucks...or a frag or two..

i hate my LFS...far too over priced..

Well, there are two fish stores I go to.

One is VERY overpriced and I believe I saw a smaller BTA for $80.

However, the other one I go to is much more reasonable (maybe even a little more healthy!). I saw one there a few days ago for $30 or $40. It was a good size, too. Very healthy. :)
