How much current/flow for Ocellaris?

I purchased two small Ocellaris this afternoon and both seem to be doing fine in my 29g reef tank. The tank has three MJ600's on a wavemaker arranged to provide turbulance within the tank but there is also a pretty strong flow of water right to left across the top of the tank and returning left to right around the mid to lower levels of the tank from the sump return. The clowns have remained in the high-flow area for the past few hours, sometimes exploring rock structures in the immediate area but mostly swimming directly against the current. I get tired just watching them!

There are plenty of low-current areas, caves and areas to swim through in the LR structure but they have yet to do any serious exploring. So my question is, how much flow/current would be considered "normal" for these guys in the wild?

you dont want to see them getting blown around, but they do like to play in the current. If they look like tthey are swimming fine I wouldnt worry about them.

Thanks for the quick reply.

They are exploring the tank more now and do seem to seek out the stronger currents and play in them. It's amazing how much energy these guys have.

I've got two in a 55 (just added the second today) w/ 2 MJ1200's on each end on a wavemaker. The one clown that's been in there awhile likes to swim in the current allot. She really liked it when I had the Chauvet switching the two 1200's back and forth.

Mine like to get in front of the pump that shoots them to the bottom and then they go back for another ride:) They are so fun to watch enjoy.
