How much do you feed a harlequin shrimp

M Harlequin has eradicated my mini starfish problem. I can't remember what they're called. I bought a Chocolate Chip starfish and gave him one leg yesterday and another today. I wasn't sure exactly when I ran out of the little ones. So how often and how much should I feed him?

Thanks

Good question =).. I'm in the same predicament soon. I need to add him to the frag tank to finish the job. What I've heard is depending on the size of the chocolate most of the time a leg every week or so is more than enough.. No experience yet though just heard that somewhere..

Are you just keeping the chocolate in your sump?

The below for 1 harlequin.

On the 3rd month or so of no mini stars and feeding chocolates.

Started with 1 leg per week and the remaining body for two weeks.

Currently feeding 1 leg every 2 weeks. And the chocolate body for 3 weeks.

I have gone 3 weeks feeding only 1 leg.... But I would say this is pushing it.

Sounds Good. I've given him a leg 2 days in a row and he waisted no time going after them. I will start doing a leg a week plus

Thanks

I did a leg every 3 days. Once I see him walking every where I know he is in the search for food. Since your doing that mine as well get a female. It was always cool watching both of them follow one another.

+1 good indication they are hungry as they are more active than normal.

Where are you guys keeping the starfish at? Sump
I am keeping in the rear chamber of a nano. Be careful that the cut up star doesn't die when you keeping it alive. And it would take a long for the star to grow the legs back.

You can keep it in the freezer.
Never tried. Read this but was worried if the shrimp didnt like frozen and liked fresh.
