How much does RO tea matter?

I run a Spectrapure Max Cap RO/DI unit off a private well. I know I have CO2 issues for my DI resin exhausts very quickly. After running short of DI resin I thought it would be interesting to see what the readings would be on the finished water. Most of the time the finished water reads 1tds and occasionally 2tds. I know 0tds is what is ideal but can much harm come from 1-2tds?

Please let us know exactly what that 1-2 TDS is composed of and we can answer..

In general it may be totally fine or it won't be.. Many people get by using tap water or water with very high TDS without issues.. Others don't..

Its likely totally fine.. but we cannot answer for sure without knowing exactly what that remaining TDS is..

TDS is a measure of total dissolved solids..

The sensor knows there are dissolved solids..
But it doesn't know if they are good or bad or what..
So to answer your question if 1-2ppm is good or not you would need to perform additional testing to identify those remaining solids to see if they are potentially harmless or toxins..

hence why we all state you want zero because then there is no "confusion"..

If you are living in a decent sized city, there is likely already a detailed analysis of your water available.

Most of the dissolved solids in tap water are magnesium and calcium salts.
