How much flow for clowns and anemones?

So I just finished quarantining a pair of clowns. The little guy instantly took to the anemone and seems to be desperately trying to move into his home. However the larger (female I'm assuming) is not too happy about having to fight my MP40 to move into the anemone.

Is this flow too high?

Thanks in advance!

The flow looks a little high for an RBTA. How long has it been in that spot? If it's been a while and it likes it, you can probably leave things the way they are.

IME BTAs like moderate flow and will stay lower if they are getting sufficient light there. My RBTAs also tend to have bulb like tentacles when flow is lower instead of elongated ones like yours.

The clown does need slow time to relax and recharge. While it can do it in the wild, the opportunity of some food is more prevalent than we give them.

Moderate flow with times of increased speed is normally a good match.

Thank you all for the suggestions. I've dialed back the flow a bit and added a four hour period where the powerhead is running at 1%.

1% is a little light.

I would dial it back to 1/4 of what the max daytime setting is, during lights out period. That gives it plenty of time to relax be slower when it or other fish can not see as well in the tank.
