How much food to feed

Hey thank you everyone. So I am starting to see some algae. I think due to my explosion of stomatella snails inexplicably dying off to next to nothing. So I have ordered a bunch of various type snails. And I'm going to relegate the hermit crabs to the small refugium below.

This seems like a lot but was recommended for a 65g, about half the size of my tank, so I went for it.

64 Dwarf Ceriths
23 Nassarius
20 Florida Ceriths
29 Nerites

How much you can feed depends on how fast you can export your nutrients!

Some have multiple filters working together to keep nitrates down. This allows them to feed 4-6times a day. I am one of these people.

If you ever went diving in the waters where your fish are from, you will the same fish, only 2-3 times fatter. Tangs especially graze all day. So I try to keep these feedings to keep them fat and healthy.

I also feed several times pr day. All the crabs and other crawlies need to eat. I have a feeder for my Apex coming which will help with being more consistant

I'd also recommending rinsing the frozen cubes. Simply get a coffee cup full of tank water and let the cubes thaw in it. You can soak in selcon after. You'd be amazed at the phosphates left over in the water. Try it once and test the water after. To strain, I simply use a cheap fresh water fish net.
