Yeah, if it has "lineage" as a true Tyree piece, that's a phenomenal price. I've seen them for well over $250 for a multi-eye frag. Of course, lineage can be hard to prove. If you like it and you really want it in your tank...buy it and don't worry about where it came from. Just my two cents...

Anymore over half the corals I see for sale are labeled Tyree, ORA, ATL, etc... I stopped paying attention to the names people give them because it's almost impossible to know for sure where the piece came from. I agree with soccerbag, if you like it buy it and enjoy it.

I have kept strict record of my corals, but I guess if the people I bought them from are wrong then so am I. As far as chalices, I can pick them out.

Lineage could be important in-case of a future trade/sale, I'm in the situation right now where I'm trying to prove lineage -_-
