How much KH two part are you dosing per day?

Just wondering how much two part people are dosing.
I have a 65 with a 15 gallon sump and am using B-Ionic...seems like I does 15 ml every third day and my KH does not go up.
I am afraid of PH issues if I does to much KH, but my KH needs to go up higher than 6.

What other people are dosing means nothing. The demands of your tank are individual and what you need to determine.

You'd have to get pH above 8.5 for it to even be an issue and unless you're checking pH with a monitor or controller you probably don't have a close measure of it anyway.

Take the advise to use the calculator and work on alkalinity. pH will take care of itself.

Yep, means nothing!
Each tank is different and will change after a while as you add/remove fishes or other organisms. After they grow too... That will depend on your maintenance schedule as well.

Grandis.

Like mentioned above, every tank will be different. It also depends on what type of alkalinity supplement you're using. You're also going to want to make sure your magnesium and calcium levels are good to go because if they are not that will combat the effectiveness of your alkalinity levels.

I found this chemistry Calculator to be easier than the bulk reef supply one. It also has more options as far as products. Good luck.

Your tank tank demands will be different from anyone else's. But, to answer the question...I dose something like 53-55 mL of soda ash alk solution daily on my 55 gallon disp with 15 gal sump. Keeps me right at 8.4 dkh all the time

I dose 50 ml of 2 part bionic a day on my 72gallon. It is a mixed reef. Check your magnesium. If your mag is low, then you can add all kinds of alk with no results.

Thanks everyone. I was trying to get a general idea of how much people were dosing because it seemed like a lot to me.

I have my Ca and Mag is check. Mag 1480-1500 and Ca 440-460.

You can't really go off of what everyone else is doing because these are isolated systems. If everyone's tanks were connected then it would be a different story.

As such, each system has different needs and you have to test and dial in what your system needs over time and keeping in mind that your system's demands will change over time (more/bigger stony corals = higher demand).

Edit: just read some more posts and saw this has been said already. Whoops!

You dose 15ml every third day? Why not make adjustments daily to raise and stabilize your levels? I feel that's the beauty of 2 part is you can be precise and keep the levels just about exactly where you want them.

Like stated above everybody's tank is different but the amount you add every 3 days Is less than I add in 12 hours. That being said it's all about your consumption. A guy with a fully stocked 30g sps tank can possibly consume more than a guy with a 120g mixed reef fwiw.

If you are worried about pH use baking soda instead of b-ionic. Use randy's recipe amounts and you can raise your alk without raising pH it will actually slightly lower it temporarily. Then maintain your daily consumption with the b-ionic.

With your consumption at only 15ml I'd look into kalk.. Cheaper and easier.

I dose 24 to 30 ml of alkalinity buffer everyday throughout the day in a 58 gallon to keep my alk at 9.5 with my mag at 1320. My ph hardly fluctuates from 8.1(although I haven't tested it in 3 months)I don't think you have anything to worry about your ph will naturally go down every night as your reef sleeps.
