how much light?

HELP!

i have a 46gallon bowfront tank and want in the near future to get a BTA for my clowns. the location that i wanthim to be in is off to the right side of the tank on a flat rock about 3/4 of the way up in the tank. i just wanted to make sure that there is enough light in here for it. i am running a 175watt 10k metal halide and 2 39watt t5 actinic plus bulbs. also i wanted to place a powerhead on the anemonee and was wandering how much flow i give it.

thanks,
Branden

Your lights are fine for a BTA. BTAs like to attach their foot in the crevices of LR, not just sit at the top of flat rock, IMHO.

I wouldn't point a powerhead at a BTA, they are not too fond of strong flow.

Sounds like you have plenty of light, but don't get your hopes up about a specific location you want him to be in the tank.
When you get an anemone they usually wind up wandering to exactly where you don't want them to be and then decide that's the best place in the tank.

BTAs seem to like some moderate flow, and like MarinaP said, generally a rock with a nice crevace type area for them to anchor their foot. Mine actually only wandered about 6 inches from where I put it, but that was probably more luck on my part than anything else. Surprisingly, it moved to an area of less light, even though I was only running 96w of PCs at the time. . .yeah, I listened to the LFS guy. He'd actually suggested an anemone as one of the very first additions to my tank. Then I found Reef Central, and both the fish and my wallet thank me. Oh, scratch that for the wallet. Looking at all the cool toys everyone here has and I want has seriously upped my aquarium spendings. But I digress. . .Good luck with the anemone. They're pretty challenging, but fascinating creatures.
