I have a 22 gallon cube and was wondering how much live rock I should have? I currently have around 14 pounds. I noticed from the pics that most have much more than I have. Any Ideas?

Most books suggest about 1 lb per gallon but it is not written in stone and you could have more or less depending on aquascaping. Get your self Mike Paletta's reef book. You need to get the basics then supplement with info that other reefers provide.

Usually for a 22 gallon tank set-up your gonna want at least 22 lbs of LR...like noschmo said-1 lb of LR per gallon of water. You can even do 1.5 lbs of LR per gallon...thats persnal preference but i wouldnt do more than 1.5 lbs per gallonl Good Luck!

Also some rock is more dense than others.

I like to fill my tanks about 3/4 full of live rock.
If your tank looks sparse add some more.

Well if your tank is up and running, then you have all the rock you need. Whatever works, works. Right? One thing to keep in mind is that most corals you get come with a piece of rock.
