How much live rock?

I'm cycling my 55gal. tank, right now, and it's going to house a single Bimac.

I took one 15lb. piece of live rock out of my 200gal. to help cycle.

How much rock will I need in the tank once I put the Bimac in?

I would go with at least 25lbs

Enough for him to completely hide his body? I know they make caves, in the wild....should I build a cave for him since the pieces of live rock will be too big for him to pick up?

You can make a cave or use something like a PVC elbow with a end cap. I have always used PVC myself and changed the size as the octopus grew. They like something in proportion to their body size so they feel secure unless its a sand dwelling species.
