How Much Natural Light is Too Much

I am planning on putting a tank in my living room, where there are a lot of windows including one large bay window. The tank however would rarely get direct sunlight, just reflection and general day light, maybe a hour or two of direct sunlight per day during some times of the year.

Do you all think that would be a problem (i.e., algae growth)?

NOPE. :D

The only problem you may have will be a heat issue. My tank did awsome when I got a few ours of direct sunlight each day. I've sinced moved the tank because of otehr issues. ;) I actually had no alage problems on the side of teh tank where the sun hit it most and my corals seemed to expand more when they got the sun.

My new tank is going in a new sunroom where it will get sun probably most of the day since the room is all windows and faces south. :D should also help me cut back on my lights some.

Here's a old pic of my old tank w/sunlight on it.
