How much nitrate can skunk cleaner shrimp handle? My nitrate use to be over 100 off the chart and since i redone my system 3 months ago it keeps dropping and is down to 25 and is still dropping... Is 25 low enough to put shrimp in?

techncially 0 nitrates for inverts. Fish don't mind at all.
If anything with those nitrate levels you won't have many snails and smaller inverts for long.
I had a couple of incidents last summer where my nitrates went up to over 50. I lost 30 snails, 2 cleaner shrimp and 2 coral banded shrimp

+1 I notice that people include inverts in the category of fish only tanks. And when that is the case the quote, "nitrates don't matter" doesn't pertain to inverts.

long ago i had mitrates as high as 80ppm this was before i added coral, and hermits, green brittle star, some other star, and skink cleaner shrimp wher all fine, i only lost 2 snails and in both cases a hermit was wearing its shell the next day, leading me to believe the hermit was the culprit,

Geez... I guess 25 should be fine then if they made it in 80... lol. I actually threw one in there earlier today and he seems to be doin fine so far. I know nitrate is harder on them in the long run but i think he'll be fine till i get the nitrates even lower.
