How much to feed snowflake eel

I picked up a med snowflake eel the other day about 12-14" long and I have found all of the post regarding what to feed them. The question is how much, I fed him 4 silversides the other day and he seemed happy and went back to his cave but I know 5 min later he would want 4 more. So the question is how much and how often should eels be fed. TIA

Haha..my eel was like that, really greedy. I just fed my eel until he couldn't eat another krill.

I have a client that has one thats about 40" or so in length. We dialed him in to 1-2 pieces of shrimp, scallop, clam, silversides a day. Sometimes he gets more greedy and other times he ignores food for 4 or 5 days. You can gut load him like you are doing but he may not eat the next day so don't worry if that happens.

Ok thanks, I was going to try to feed 2-3 times a week but I would prefer 1 silverside a day just for ease of mind and I can feed the rest of the tank as well. How does someone know if there eel is getting fat? I read this can be an issue.
