Hi Roger Just bought a calcium dispenser. My question is how much calcium hydroxide do you put in the bottle. They give you a bottle . Do you put half of it or less.My thought if you put to much it will not mix properly.
Thanks
Jerry

You use only 2-4 teaspoons per fill of a 7 gallon reservoir, the manual has a section on how much to add based on tank size and inhabitants.

I put 1 tbls per gal of water.I use a 5 gal bucket so I use 5 tbls of kalk. Its very simple same as when you drip old method only this is more steady.Your alk and ph will stabalize.

You can use far less in this method because in an open container most kalk is wasted because it reacts with CO2 and becomes insoluble, this is a more efficient method and I would not exceed 2 tbsps per fill of a 5-7 gallon reservoir.

I use 5 for 5 gal my friend uses 3 for 3 gal.I have tried using less but find my ph stays at 8.1 with this dose.I always had low ph.I find my alk stays at 3.2 or 9 dkh.I am happy with those results.
