How much to pay?

For an adult wc pair of chrysopterus?
I have had a pair come avaliable and have reserved them for about 110 dollars US.
This is the first pair I have seen here in bkk and they look great and are hammering the pellets.
what would you pay over there??

Bro,

Sounds like a lot for chrysopterus. Over here, they are around US$40-50 max a pair. But then, of course, you're in BKK and some of the fish there may go for a lot more. I think if they are looking great and eating pellets well, they may be worth the money since they are generally poor shippers and often come down with brook or velvet. The biggest decision would be to leave them there and see if they will come down with anything....or take them home and reduce the risk of them catching some bug at the LFS!

BTW, if you do have some time, consider popping over next weekend for Aquarama - should be another good show!

How long have they had them, more than three days?
Brook is gonna hit about the third day out and i don't think i have ever seen an adult pair of chrysopterus come in that didn't get brook. Little babies, yes, adults no.
That said, i paid $60 for my adult pair when i bought them.....
But, if they have had them for over a week, and they are still eating and don't have brook, i may pay that.

Liveaquaria generally sells large adults for approx. $50/fish and if these are a mated pair then you can expect to pay more.
