How much to prune?

I've got a 25 gal fuge with grape caulerpa. I started with a softball-sized portion and now it's filling the whole refugium.

How much should I prune? Back down to a softball size? Half the tank? Do I cut it? Tear it? Just separate it and leave it whole?

I'm new at this and Id like to take care of this today. Thanks for the help.

Fishie Nut,

It is better to prune a little at a time. Try to keep as much as you can but make sure it is not shading out Caulerpa below it. Also, it is better to have several smaller plants than one large one. Cutting and tearing both work.
