How much weight can one tank hold?

Would a ten gallon glass tank support 20 lbs of sand plus 10-20 lbs or liverock?

it should. you could test it, just put 50lbs of whatever in tank and fill with water (preferably do it outside). Leave it for a week outside, then check for leaks.

Yes it will. I have a 120 gallon with 260 lbs live sand, 225LBS live rock, and 120 gallons of water. Total weight roughly 1100-1200 Lbs and there is no problem

if it will fit in the tank it will hold it. The sand bed will act as a distributor for weight. It will spread the weight evenly through the tank. Even without the sand you would be fine.
