To the best of my knowledge, the first instar stage is the hardest to digest.Oh cool, now with the brine they can only be a few hours old right? I read that the baby seahorses have a hard time digesting them after that...?
I have a question and I am afraid that it is going to sound cold. If seahorses have that many fry that often, and you are not prepared to attempt to raise them...what do you do with them. I ask because I ordered 2 female seahorses but I was sent a male and female. Well they wasted no time and in a matter of a week and a half they began to court and I believe he is pregnant now. Unfortunately I care for my husband's mother full time and she is dying of congestive heart failure. I am just not in a position to raise fry right now. What do I do....humanely euthanize them, send them to someone who can raise them???? I heard they are pretty fragile to mail as fry but I don't know anyone here who might like to try it.

That's awesome, if you were local, I'd love to try it. But I guess I'll have to just keep working on trying to get mine to breed![]()
Sorry, I didn't mean to hijack your thread. If your ponies are dancing I am thinking that your chance at raising fry is coming some day.![]()
