How often do you run your UV Sterilizer?

Hey all
Do you run it 24/7 or 12 hours a day or what.

How often do you need to run it.

I have 2. One I run before the skimmer so the order goes like this.
Step 1. The stupid parasites get blasted by the UV.
Step 2. What ever doesnt die and just gets really bad sunburn enters the skimmer chamber.
Step 3. The survivors get seriously blasted by ozone.
Step 4. Die.
Step 5. The dead crap gets skimmed out.

The second one I'll turn on for a few days when I "think" I need it.
