I never feed my tanks more than every other day. Most fish do not need more than that. Feeding 2-3 times a day (As stated on many fish food containers) will only serve to pollute your tank faster.
The fish food companies want you to feed more so you buy more food.
Some fish (Including Anthias) need more feedings but 90% do not.
I feed upwards of five times day with a variety of frozen meaty based foods with some green added. I have 15 and ten gallon breeders packed with BTA's as well and have never had a problem with water quality and rarely do water changes. I test very often and change the water when any nitrate starts to creep up but have not had any problems.
IMHO the younger the fish, the more often it should be fed. Keep in mind this is very small portions throughout the day to keep a packed gut.
