How Often?

I am currently building up a 75-80 gallon marine tank with an Aqua C Remora Pro, a Rena Filstar XP2 and 25kg of LR. How often should I be doing a water change?

Are you asking how often to do water changes during cycling or after?
Peoples opinions vary on both...I don't do water changes while cycling. I think it slows the process down. Many people worry about the ammonia and nitrite spikes killing off the life on the rock but with enough rock, the spikes should be minimal. I have always had plenty of life left on my rocks after cycling


Once my tank has cycled I do a water change, usually around 20 %. After my tank is up and going, I do weekly water changes.

I wouldn't do water changes while cycling. I'm talking about after cycling.

I would do weekly water changes of 10%.
