my tank is 15 years old, but it was torn down and had a fresh start about a year ago
120 gallon dual corner over flows 40b sump

I kept a 7000gal koi pond with 17 koi for 19yrs. Never lost a single one except one to a blue heron. Then I got old. So my tank is 2 days into cycle.

I'm at about a month. Still going through the Cycle but it's close I can feel it lol. I wake up every morNing and test waTer parameters.

:fish1: Hi all, current system has been running for 12 yrs., with live rock that is 25 yrs. old, plus some that is older. Every 10 yrs. or so I change out the sand bed and add a piece of rock or two. :fish1:

Not to hijack the thread, but I would love to see some pictures of these tanks that are 10+ years old. The same tank though, not one that has been constantly upgraded with the same rocks and all over the years. There's just too many variables with these set ups IMO.

This photo was taken over 15 years ago when I redid my aquascape the last time. I did reuse the original live rock.

These were taken in the last month or two, Obviously, over the course of so many years, there have been system upgrades (pumps, lights, new sump and fuge etc. None of which required draining the display. There have also been coral additions although I haven't added any corals in a number of years other than a couple SPS frags. My corals grow like weeds as it is. The live rock as it sits has remained untouched for over 15 years.
