How old is your oldest fish?

Not sure if this has been done before but I was curious about how old some of our fish can get. Speaking for myself, I have a Blue Tang I purchased at my LFS 9 years ago. She was maybe a little bigger than a quarter. She's doing great and lives in a 175g bowfront FOWLR tank with a 55g sump. She is much more skittish than her tank mates which include a Yellow, Naso and Scopus Tang with a File fish, and Koran Angel along with some bottom dwellers like a Scooter Blenny and a Watchman Goby. Her hidey hole is pretty huge because she has gotten rather large over the years and even after all this time, she still bolts for it when I walk up to the tank. And NO her name is not Dory but everyone and I mean EVERYONE calls her that... So again, I was just curious how some old other fish were and seeing a pic would great if you choose to post one.

I have a clownfish for about 14 years. This thing went from male to female, goes thru 4 upgrade, in the sump back to the display tank. She is a mean sob. She bites draw blood from my hand. I hooked her with fishing hook. Yep she still bite me today during water change

The Purple Tang in this picture is over 28 years old. The Yellow is over 15. The Palau Green Finger was intially purchased as a frag for $1 in 1997 and has been fragged numerous times and the Xenia was initially purchased in the late 90s.

The purple tang I posted in this thread is around 7" and hasn't really changed much in size in years.

Last year I lost 30 fish and 6 shrimp as well as corals and anemones, do to what I believe was a bacterial infection. Most of the fish were over 10 years in my care 4 well over 20 years ( a female clown, 2 tangs, a marine Beta) and male clown 26 years. It was heart breaking. I almost gave up on the hobby. I was surprised at some of the fish that did survive. The suvivors are breeding pair of flame hawks, a blue assessor, a filefish, 2 firefish, 2 wrasses is what remember correctly.

And they coexist!
That’s a really, really, long time.
Bravo!
I’ll be happy if I can get similar numbers on mine, I was thinking 4-8 years, but 28, WOW.
