HOW on earth do you keep this darned coral happy

How do I keep my stupid alveopora HAPPY it hasn't opened it for AGES :headwallblue::headwallblue::headwallblue::headwallblue::headwallblue::headwallblue::head

i have never had luck with them. my lasted for about 3-4 months then died. i think they arent a great coral to keep. some corals just dont do good

I haven't always had the best of luck but mine likes really low flow

They are not known for being an "easy" coral, to begin with.
You knew this was going to be a challenge, right?
FWIW, I've heard they don't like heavy skimming, like Gonipora. Not sure tho..

check youre iron level.i no i say this allot but for some reason alveapora and goni's like it high and i have seen them come out and start to regrow a week or two after the iron was up to par and a little above.my branching alveopara love oyster feast mixed with phyto and medium current and light.also i dont over skim i keep mostly lps and anenome tanks and i use the airstone skimmers cause they dont overskim youre water and leave just enough for these corals to be happy.gl
