How quick on copper increase w/ bad ich?

I picked up a powder blue tang today that I knew had ich. I have him in a 20g QT. The ich has gotten really bad over the day. I was planning to just to do a TTM, but I need to act quickly for this first wave of ich at least. How high can I dose copper (cupramine) for a single dose in a severe situation?

Even if I can go up to .35ppm, will this have a quick effect?

Copper only effects the free swimming stage. The TTM will honestly be the fastest treatment at this time. I would move to a sterile tank every 24 hours until things subside.
