How regular does RBTA split?

I just got a RBTA last Sunday. Today the RBTA splits into 2 little RBTA. I have a neon green BTA for months, it never splits though i have moved it around and it also has moved itself around the tank.

How regular does RBTA split? I will feed these RBTA babies tomorrow.

I've heard some may split, some may not. Mine just split after 4 months in the tank.

It varies quite a bit. A BTA will split when it get large, but it will also split in less than optimum conditions to double it's chances of genetic survival. So splitting can be a sign of stress or a sign of growth.

I went through a period when I changed salt brands 3 times in about 4 months....from the original Kent to using up a small bucket of D&D I got on promo....then on to Aquavitro. Within a week of each change they split.
They never appearred to be stressed at all during those salt changes.....so it seems it doesn't take much of a change of conditions to cause them to split.

I am sure it must be the stress causing the RBTA to split. The previous owner has only T5, whereas i have MH 250W.

I put extra coral vital last night just to calm them down. I am kinda liking it to split.
