How rinse off the Colt Coral before palcing??

I going to recive Colt soft coral, but Im watching this information:
I have to rinse off with clean saltwater before placing into aquarium to reduce slime runoff as this organism secretes a mucous during shipment.

How can I do this?
the coral can be out of water?
I have t rinse in a big cup several times introducing the coral in-out from the water??
or only shake the coral inside the water??
what is the right option??

Once you acclimate the coral put it in a container of tankwater and gently shake the excess slime off, or you can use a turkey baster to gently blow it off. Remember never to add water from the bag to your tank as you have no idea whats in it, and the stagnant slime in the bag is a breeding ground for pathogens and bacteria.
