How should i get my mantis out?.

I Need to get my mantis out of my tank but do not know how to go about this. Should i use a net?. She is a 4 1/2 - 5 inch peacock... Thanks!.

Could you coax her into a bucket or a rigid container that fits into the tank somehow?

You can use a net, i've done it before, just make sure they don't jump out at you though.

I remember when I got my 6" peacock out of his dwelling... that was a task!
What I did, was coax him into his PVC home, which I had covered all openings but one with a net. I got him in there, and then slowly picked up the end that he just entered into, then pickd it up out of the water. He fell onto the net that was closing off the one side, and I used that net and the PVC to get him into a transporting container. HTH

thanks guys. Im thinking about taking the rocks out and lowering the water. that way i can just use the tank as hes container and bring him to the LFS since nobody around here wants him =(.
