How soon can Caulerpa attach itself?

How long does it take for Caulerpa to attach itself to rocks?

That looks like prolifera. It attached in my tank pretty much overnight. I put a small rock on one piece to weigh it down, and it was attached to the substrate the next day. It grows fast. It doubles itself in about a week or less.

Does it sting other plants, or corals? Thank BTW

no, I do not think caulerpas sting anything, but they will quickly overtake alot of things with their fast growth alone, ...

be sure and keep it pruned, ...
