so about week ago i added a algea blenny to my tank. now that the levels are back to normal does that mean its safe to add again?

I would give it a little time just to be safe. Alot of people say wait a month or so in between new additions. I would wait at least another week if not longer, it's better to take your time and be patient.

You have a small tank. Therefore, I would wait another three weeks before adding anything new to the tank. Also, be careful not to overload your system with your next fish (i.e., keep it small).

I'm concerned about your comment that the levels are back to normal. Did you have an ammonia/nitrite spike after adding the blenny?

Yeah I would wait a week at least. Adding one fish really shouldn't have caused a spike. How much are you feeding that one fish?

thanks for the info! i was thinking a royal gramma for my next fish. it really wasnt a spike, beaaarly above the zero reading on the ammonia test.
