How strong is the magnetic mount 6200

Roger,

I have 3/4" thick glass on my Oceanic tank. HOW STRONG is the magnet in the holder? I see it is rated for tanks UP TO 3/4" thick, but, HOW FIRMLY will it hold the pump at this gap? I certainly don't want my stream coming off and falling into the sand, or worse yet, blowing water out of the tank. What would you advise? I'd really like to get rid of the standard holder, as it gets in the way where I REALLY want to mount it.


BTW, I have a 6000 Stream.

The 6200.50 can give you a wicked blood blister, bruise, possibly break a finger, yes, it will work.

yeah, this is no joke. I don't recommend putting the two magnets together either to see how much of a grip they have. They are so strong you really have to work at getting them apart. I couldn't imagine trying to get the larger of the two apart. the smaller one is bad enough as it is. However I found that if you twist and pull you can get the magnets apart.
