How tight on bulkheads?

If the plumbing rotates, are they too loose? Finger tight + 1/2 turn isn't working for me anymore due to some ridiculous circumstances.

I wouldn't go much past hand turn and 1/2 just to ensure I don the break the glass. If that isnt working maybe try using some channel locks to slightly tighten.

LOL - so I thought of the answer to this issue right after I posted. I can't do 'finger tight' right now because my hands are a bit weak at the moment. I tried and they leaked like a sieve and moved around. My neighbor came over and hand tightened them for me.

Thanks - its holding water now. Tomorrow I will fill it the rest of the way and run the pump.

If it rotates, it breaks the seal and can leak.

Also, because I made this same mistake, be VERY CAREFUL moving or touching the plumbing dwn the road if it is not fixed down. My plumbing extended straight down into my sump with a valve on it, while I was turning the connection to tighten the valve on it turned the bulkhead and caused a leak.

So... Just be sure you don't apply any more twisting force on it once its 'set' and settled. :P
