how to build a stand/canopy thread?

does anyone know where i can find a build a stand/canopy thread. i would like to see how other people build theirs to see if there is any ideas i could use building mine.

If its going to be for a good size tank I would Get ahold of Rhett CommonStranger he can have a stand and canopy built for you at a good price and they are BEAUTIFUL I got mine through him
 
yeah i know rhett, will talk to him at the swap if not sooner, found a thread from RocketEngineer, pretty good thread.
 
Rhetts a Good guy and will get you what you need and I mean you will be very thankfull you did everyone comments on my stand and canopy Vs my tank if that says anything haha
 
found this on a thread, built by hellcat, can't find any thread on it or him other this picture. love this stand and canopy!

He used to get those from Ocea, And they have changed owners and I do not think that is possible any more. The New owners are not doing much if any business up here in Tn anymore. And what they have done is not worth having, I know from experiance as i bought a tank from them. They refused to fix it or build another. End of story. AC no longer carries them either.

I can still get the tanks from them and the wood work is great. The glasswork has suffered from time to time but if it does I send it back. If it was me I would very comfortable about the woodwork. The tank Id like to see some of there recent builds as they have fired some of the help and have different people building the tanks now.
 
If you want Quality Cabinetry talk to New Wave, His Workmanship is the best by far! On Oceas tanks You can put lipstick on a pig but it's still a Pig. I have seen many of their tanks that never should have left the building, And that is unfortunately the Rule not the Exception.

It helps to have a great shop like your dads too, And the skills that you do never hurt either. But I agree that building them is half the fun. Until you get old and lazy like me. LOL

Bill your right. I bet in your younger days you would have built some nice stands :) Just keep up the growing! You do a good job at that.

John, I am a kbd nerd also :D Thats why i like building stuff in the shop on my days off.
 
haha got my skimmer cut down now found a place in Gallatin Tn that sells the weldon going to get it this weekend hopefully Might need you to make me a pellet reactor hah :)

If that is not to costly would you Pick me up a bottle of #4 with the applicator bottle, Just to have on hand for repairs. I will repay you at the swap if that's OK
