how to catch a hawkfish

OK.. so I got those nifty maroons from fishboy. now it seems as my spotted hawk has taken an interest in the little male. I have noticed a few attempts, but the little guy was a faster....

so, besides dismantlin the entire tank, anyone know a good way to trap him? have a trap lying around I can borrow?
 
Where does he sleep at night? I like to sneak up on them. If you can somehow get access without alerting it too much, you can snatch it out pretty quick.
 
I live near cool springs mall, and I work at Vandy. I'll go put it in my car so I'll have it with me at work tomorrow. Shoot me a PM and we can figure out how to meet up.
 
not yet... have had opps to catch a tang and anglefish...both at the same time too.. but fish only sits on the door.. and wont go in but should be getting close as he has seen tankmates come and go....
 
Ridge.. do you have a pic? the issue I am having wit this one is that the fish wont go in it. tank mates have but he is eithe rtoo stupid to know that food comes form the trap, or too smart for me. If i had a live shrimp it might works....
 
I may just have to give this a try. I tried tempting him into the trap with a small piece of cut fishing worm.. he was VERY attracted to it and reacted to it, but would not go in....! I thought about a fly for flyfishing, but I only bass fish so I dont have any.. will try to find some tomorrow...
