I messed up and added a Lunare Wrasse only to read-up and find they are not a model reef resident. Now I am faced with catching this rascal. What are some of your best tricks?
Dont feed your tank for a few day, and get a fish trap. Than put some food in the trap. Than wait till it goes in the trap and bam no more Lunare Wrasse in the tank.
I believe it doesnt eat coral, just fish, crustaceans, motile invertebrates, and worms.. Has he been doing anything bad yet? Ive read people use large liplock bags laced with fishing wire as traps
I let him go hungry for a 2 days and then held the net about 6" below some food floating on the surface, he could not resist. I have him in a separate tank for the moment. And I did catch him killing crabs and snails, and did not want him moving on to shrimp and smaller fish.
