How do you all clean the outside of your glass so its clean and streak free? I seem to have some type of film i just cant get off. thanks.

no it does not scrape off. It might be from all the candles my wife burnes in the house. I'm not sure but i just always have streaks and a light film which shows up in pictures and just looks kinda crappy ya know. Can you use vinegar or something like that?

I always take a really hot wash cloth that's pretty wet still and not wrung out all the way. Then I dry it with soft type bath towel. Not the kind with a roughness to it like the IO towels. If I don't keep the wash cloth wet enough or if you wait too long between the wet and dry towels it will streak up. Vinegar water is a good solution too but I've yet to find it needed. Mine glass usually has kid hands and gooey streaks as well as cigar smoke on it.

I use a solution of one part vinegar and 3 parts RO water. Works pretty good and my wife hates the smell so I keep using it.

Just cleaned the coralline off the front bottom corners of my little tank today looks nice. Now I can see the cano growing on my sand bed even better

Windex sprayed on a towel.

This is what I do as well.

I think the streaks come from the Saltwater. When you put your hand in the tank pull them out, and some water runs down the glass, then you try wiping off. Or at least that is what I think.

For what its worth, I use the vinegar and water. Carefully spray and wipe. I like using something that is the least harmful, incase I spray the glass and not the towel first!

Safer that way...
