my overflow splashs alot i have it go down in the tank pretty far... and the bubbles still splash up and out and makes a mess with salt splash anything i can do?

How tall is the water falling? - From the display level to the overflow running water level.

Maybe you don't have a standpipe? If you cut yourself a standpipe to fit in the bulkhead you can determine the height of the waterfall. Make it 1-2" and you wont have any splashing anymore. It will be quiet too:

Here's some references:

i'm unsure what you mean by stand pipe how i have it is a t out of my bulkhead one end going up the other down to the sump up end has a cap on it but once the water level hits the sump it splashes....

Oh. I think I understand now. Your overflow drain splashes water when the water exits the drain pipe in the sump. Correct? Is the pipe end above the sump water level or below it.

If above, try extending the pipe below the sump water level. This way the speed of the water and air in the pipe will be disipated underwater when exiting the pipe.

If you already have the pipe below then the bubbles (usually large ones) are causing the splashing. I have seen this on my own sump. this is exentuated if the compartment that you are draining to is relatively small. The bubbles rise together in the same location and the splashing is accentuated.

You might try something like one of the following:
