How to cover the elos 160xl rimless?

Before I get beat up on choosing a rimless and now want a cover, I chose this tank because of the slim overflow and all around glass and the size. Most covered tanks seemed to have black on back meant for walls. I wanted to see the tank as more transparent to the landscape when walking into the main door. The rimless effect looks nice but has its negatives.

I want the to look like they are flying but without flying out of the tank!

I'd like to cover it somehow with a netting or mesh in such a way it is easy to remove and low profile. I was thinking a thin frame with rigid mesh of some sort so that the lid less than inch. I have it in mind to paint the radion mounts silver to blend into background...the black distracts so something which looks metalic but reef safe if its possible.

Is there anything I can do in the short term for safety which may be easy and not be a complete mess or hassel? And are there products available to modify or buy to fit this tank...63"x31.5"×23"

I wish they made clear brackets for screening to make it more transparent...I also have a rimless. Also, let's see a full pic of the beauty elos! ;)

I cut old CD cases with an exacto knife and glued it to the top of my screen frame to make a lip. It lets the screen sit flush into the tank.

no embarrassment on a screen- better then finding one of your little buddies dry and crusty on the ground.

With our old Elos XL160 we built a screen top using BRS DIY kit. To fit the top "inside" of the aquarium we used the clips that Innovative Marine uses for their screen tops. They sell them for different thicknesses of glass. Much better option than just sitting the screen frame on the aquarium top.

I second the artfully acrylic tops they are really nice. An with a nice Elos tank you only want nice.

No problem, post pics if you get a clearview lid, I want one, they look awesome, thinking I might ask my wife and son as a xmas gift

The first issue we've noticed is the we have the radions mounted on two sides with the rail between. Those mounts create a complication and don't know if custom can manage the issue or not.
