How to de-attach zoas

how do you go about detaching zoanthids from Live Rock???? im getting rid of all my LR and there is some zoanthids on the rock and i dont want to get rid of them......please help

A chisel works wonders.
Just be careful and wear saftey goggles. Plus, when you smack the rock with the hammer/chisel, do it on a towel.
You're gonna probably find a lot of critters on the towel when you're done.

Hammer and chisel are definitely my prefered method. For small areas, get a thin 1/4" chisel and give it a light whack at an angle in the direction of the target zoas. You'll will be surprised how easily the rock usually just pops off. I use a pretty flat angle (20 degrees or so) usually to chip larger diameter (larger chisel for larger diameter), but thinner pieces off at a time.
