How to Dislodge my Deresa?

I've noticed that unfotunately I have some pyramidal snails around my clam. Each time i see one I either suck him up with a long feeder tube and expell him into the toilet or if i can't get him that way take a toothbrush and gently scrub my clam until the snail dislodges. My question is this, my clam is very happily attached in my sandbed, not burying himself all the way down and attaching to the tank bottom but attached enough so that when i try to move him it's difficult. Is there any way to gently dislodge him so i can check underneath for more pyramidal snails? I do have a Sixline Wrasse but still see snails, is there any other way (preferably natural predation but would consider chemical) to get rid of these snails?

try to dig down below it and pull it up. if you know for sure it is not attached to the bottom it should be fine to do it this way.when you put it back in the tank you should place some kind of flat rock or shell under the sand bed so if he does attach you will be able to move it still. scrub the clam every night or everyother night untill you dont see the snails anymore. try that and repost in a week or two and let us know how it is going. good luck
