or you could just set your skimmer to skim a bit wetter.

rave, the idea is that with a head cleaner, you don't have to do it yourself, its automatically done for you. But as Ender said, just skim a little wetter and you don't have a need for it. There's only so much you can do with a self cleaning head though.
